The lot contains: Dandieu Family Turkey – ready to cook - 3 kg: sourced from a family farm located in the heart of Chalosse, in the Landes, the Dandieu Christmas turkey is raised outdoors for 140 to 200 days, according to a method that respects the natural rhythm of the poultry. It is fed a 100% plant-based, mineral, and vitamin-rich diet, consisting of at least 80% grains, of which 90% is locally grown corn and non-GMO. Its corn finishing starting from September 1 gives it tender, golden, and naturally flavorful meat, typical of festive poultry from the Southwest. Girolle Stuffing – Maison Lascours - 2 x 500 g: artisanally prepared in our workshops from poultry meat and girolles selected for their unique aroma. It adds a delicate forest touch, ideal for enhancing the tenderness of the turkey. The turkey and stuffing are delivered separately, allowing you to prepare it to your taste. A great opportunity to enjoy the pleasure of homemade cooking while benefiting from the quality of Maison Lascours products. Preparation of the turkey: Take the poultry and stuffing out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking. Gently fill the poultry with the stuffing. Brush the poultry with a little melted butter or olive oil, then season with salt and pepper. Oven cooking: Preheat to 160 °C. Allow about 1 hour of cooking per kilo. Regularly baste the poultry with its juices to keep it moist. Let it rest for 30 minutes under aluminum foil before carving to ensure the meat remains juicy. To enhance the meal: Serve the turkey with its fragrant stuffing, accompanied by a gratin dauphinois, mashed potatoes, or seasonal vegetables. A reduced white wine sauce or a light mushroom cream sauce will perfectly highlight its forest aromas.
