It is made by the distillation of fermented grape mistelles at 60-75% vol. of alcohol, which also makes it unique. It is not produced by the distillation of wine and brandy from grape “trop” (the rest of wine grapes), but by a section of healthy table grape berries called mistelles. It contains all the B vitamins except B12, which are all critical for carbohydrate modification and have a beneficial effect on the nervous system.
