Homemade Baileys (cream liqueur)
This cream liqueur or "Homemade Baileys" is a really simple homemade recipe for whiskey cream liqueur with a spectacular and delicious result.
How is Homemade Baileys made?
Only a few ingredients are needed, and in a few minutes we will have a liqueur very similar to classic Baileys to enjoy after dinner, during dessert, or whenever you wish.
In this recipe, we use half cream and half milk (what is known as Half and Half); we prefer the final result this way, but you can use all cream.
On the other hand, the main ingredient of this liqueur is “Whiskey”; ideally, you would use an Irish one, but any whisky or whiskey can be used.
We use an equal proportion of all the liquids, but this is a ratio that can be adjusted to each person's taste, perhaps with less whiskey or more, the same goes for the condensed milk and cream.
Another important ingredient in this recipe, responsible for sweetening and giving consistency, is Condensed Milk. If you can't find it, you can check our recipe for Homemade Condensed Milk.
Coffee, Cocoa, and Vanilla are responsible for adding flavor to this liqueur. While it is a bit uncertain what the original recipe of this liqueur consists of, of all the combinations we tried, this is the one we liked the most.
