5 Valles Oil can
The 5 Valles Oil is an Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Arnedo (La Rioja) with Denomination of Origin Rioja. It is the result of the skill of the Rioja producers and the adaptation to modern production and cultivation systems. Available in a can format.

Trujal 5 Valles
The Trujal 5 Valles Cooperative Society was established as such on July 1, 1995.
Initially, the cold pressing system was chosen, thus responding to a marked idea of preserving the traditional way of producing oil.
Cultivation and harvesting
The olive tree is a slow-growing tree but has a long and productive life. The olives ripen during the summer, and their harvesting usually takes place at the end of autumn or the beginning of winter when the weather is mild. During this time, the fruit will change color from olive green to reddish and then to black.
The collection of olives is an activity that has changed very little over the centuries. Generally, it is done by hand or by shaking so that the olives fall onto the tarps placed at the foot of the olive trees. They are transported in boxes or trailers.
Once collected, they are taken to the mill where care is taken not to pile the olives too high to avoid heating and fermentation, as they should not be stored for long, no more than 24 hours.
