ACTION AND APPLICATION: Lemon balm is most commonly used as an aid for nervous stress and tension, for sleep problems, as well as for stomach and intestinal issues (e.g., nervous stomach). In addition to these effects, lemon balm is also used for menstrual problems, and its antiviral properties have been proven. It is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as for children under 12 years old.
PREPARATION: 1-3 g (1-2 teaspoons) of finely chopped herb is poured with 200 ml of boiling water. Leave covered to steep for 10-15 minutes and then strain.
