The hake is a very common fish in Galician fish markets, as this species is abundant in our waters since it is found in shallow areas and near the sand. In addition to this, its price greatly favors its sale.
The hake belongs to the Gadidae family, which also includes cod, as they are both white fish. The hake, also called Palenca, is a fish found in cold and temperate waters, and its size usually does not exceed 30cm.
DPD Fresh's constant monitoring of the cold chain from collection to delivery ensures that the quality and safety of all its products are always assured.
