The santiaguiño is one of the most delicious Galician shellfish that comes from the area of our beloved Rias Baixas. With a prehistoric appearance, the santiaguiño is known by that name due to the cross of Santiago it has on its head.
This Galician crustacean has an average size of between 7 and 10cm, and its robust and flattened body gives it firm and juicy meat when cooked, which can be grilled or boiled.
Due to the great scarcity of this shellfish, it can only be enjoyed from October to December and must be ordered in advance as they hardly enter our markets. To do this, you just need to contact us via phone number or email.
It is important to note that if you are going to place your order for santiaguiño Galician in boiled, you should remember that this product loses approximately 20% of its weight, so there will be a difference between its live weight and its boiled weight when you receive it in your order.
Remember that when you select the option ''Live'' it means that our santiaguiño Galician always leaves alive from our facilities. Being out of its natural habitat, it will weaken during transport but can arrive fresh at its destination. Perfect for consumption!
It is estimated that 1 kilogram of Galician santiaguiños is enough for every 2-3 people.
