Unfiltered and unpasteurized. After (too) long five years, a very special autumn gem is once again among our crew of black-and-white brews. The beer brewed from freshly harvested and undried hops — the wet hop ale Harvest Moon. Pelicon Harvest Moon is a beer named after Neil Young's song, where the sound of strings resembles autumn rain, calming everything and cooling the weather until it doesn't return until May. In our glass, we are left with the intoxicating components of fresh hops, the last bastion of summer heat, and memories of relaxing walks under the full hop trellises, in the shade of seven-meter tall bines, and the soft air infused with essential oils from the drying rooms.
In brewing, we used freshly harvested, undried Bobek hops from the Bosnar farm. It traveled only a few hours from the field to the brew kettle.
Since only fresh hops are used in brewing, this beer is characterized by a low and gentle bitterness, along with a greater presence of malty, sweet notes. This combination makes Harvest Moon the perfect companion for autumn dishes such as pumpkins, chestnuts, and walnuts.
