    • San Simón da Costa Cheese (D.O.P.): This uniquely shaped Galician cheese is characterized by its semi-hard paste, fine texture, and a mild flavor with a distinctive natural smoky aroma, achieved with birch wood. Its excellent melting capacity is ideal for the cachopo.
  • Artisanal Breading: The manual sealing of the edges and the breading with flour, egg, and breadcrumbs ensure a final result that is crispy and golden, keeping the melted filling inside.

🧑‍🍳 Cooking Tips: Crispy on the Outside, Melted on the Inside

Your cachopo will arrive uncooked, ready to be fried:

  • Preparation: Pour plenty of olive or sunflower oil into a large frying pan and heat it.
  • Cooking: Fry the cachopo over medium-low heat, turning it several times until the breading is golden. It is crucial that the heat is not too strong to allow the San Simón cheese inside to melt completely before the breading burns.
