Biarritz Bonheur – Peppermint Liqueur is an artisanal liqueur crafted in the Basque Country by Matthieu Rivera and Fabrice Dubosc, master distillers, with the collaboration of Lionel Osmin and Imanol Harinordoquy. This creation brings back the historical liqueurs of the Southwest of France, in a spirit that is both elegant, festive, and refined. Made from natural ingredients, this liqueur draws its intensity from a carefully selected blend of fresh mint and various peppers: black pepper, white pepper, and allspice. The mint is hand-picked to preserve its aromatic richness, then macerated to extract its fresh and vegetal notes. The distillation process captures the purity of the aromas while avoiding bitterness. Upon tasting, Biarritz Bonheur offers a fresh, intense, and slightly spicy peppermint liqueur. The sweetness of the mint balances with the aromatic depth of the peppers, creating a vibrant, elegant, and original palate. Best served chilled between 8 and 12 °C, it is ideally enjoyed as a digestif, on ice, in a 'trou normand' with lemon-mint sorbet, or lengthened with tonic or sparkling water for a lighter version. It also pairs very well with dark chocolate mousse, peppermint lemon sorbet, or a citrus tart.
