Okisan portulak or purslane
Okisan portulak, also known as purslane, is a crunchy seasonal pickle with a slightly green, fresh taste. The vinegar adds liveliness, making it excellent where you want a fresh herb-vegetable accent.
Taste and use
Serve it with salads, potatoes, legumes, cheeses, fish, eggs, sandwiches, or cold platters. It pairs well with olive oil, lemon, and simple Istrian dishes.
