Known as sepia, choco, or jibia, this cephalopod is an ideal product to include in our diet in the form of stews, grilled, or fried.
The Galician choco (sepia) in Galicia is found in very shallow waters, feeding on small crustaceans or fish, which makes it a very popular cephalopod on the Galician coast, and a wide variety of recipes are made with it, among which rice or choco pie stand out.
A curious fact about the choco is that its famous ink, instead of being black like that of squids, is sepia in color, and that is where its name comes from.
At Mariscos O Grove, we have a unique size, which are pieces weighing between 400 to 600 grams each Galician choco.
Remember that you can choose to receive your chocos or sepias whole or cleaned, in which case the meat, ink, and roe (if female and it has them) would be sent.
