Galician razor clam | Flavor and good value for money. The razor clam is one of the most marketed varieties from the Galician fish markets, recognizable by its characteristic yellow-orange color that gives it its name. It is tasty, of good size, and offers an excellent value for money within the family of Galician clams. Its firm meat makes it an exceptional candidate for stews, marinara dishes, and rice dishes.
How to prepare razor clam: Purge the clams for 30 minutes in cold water with sea salt to expel the sand. Steam in a covered pot for 2-3 minutes until they open. Also excellent in marinara style with sautéed garlic, onion, and Albariño. Perfect as an ingredient in seafood rice dishes, pasta, or fish and white meat stews.
Storage: Keep refrigerated covered with a damp cloth. Consume within 48 hours after receiving the order. Never submerge them in fresh water.
